Pilot Qualification Badge. This item is a United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) Glider Pilot qualification badge from the World War II era. The badge is designed with outspread wings flanking a central shield-shaped crest. Centered within the shield is a raised capital letter G, signifying the Glider Pilot rating. The reverse of the central shield is stamped with STERLING. It is equipped with a dual pin-back mounting and comes with two clutch fasteners, one brass-toned and one silver-toned.
