Deluxe Takedown Model 1890, .22 short, SN: 113939, rifle, 24" octagonal brl, slide action, very good plus condition. The rifle was manufactured in 1901 and still retains case coloring on the receiver, frame, crescent rifle butt plate and hammer. The barrel has double firing proof marks meaning at some point in its life it went back to the factory for barrel work. The walnut butt stock is a pistol grip with one panel of checkering either side and fitted with an embossed composite grip cap that is retained by an engraved head screw. The hammer has a checkered spur and the trigger is smooth. The front sight is fixed and the rear sight is adjustable for elevation by a screw.
