This is a U.S. 155 mm artillery projectile about 34 inches tall with a 6.25-inch base diameter, fitted with a dummy M73-style fuze for display. The solid steel body is very heavy and was originally a high-explosive or training shell for 155 mm howitzers. The fuze is inert and added for display purposes, and the removable band near the base is not part of the original driving band.
