Jardinieres Including Roseville Persian Pattern. This lot consists of two early 20th-century ceramic jardinieres. The first is a Roseville Pottery jardiniere in the Persian pattern, introduced circa 1916. The vessel features a wide-bodied form with a stepped rim and a small pedestal foot. The earthenware body is decorated with a hand-painted repeating frieze of stylized Egyptian Revival lotus blossoms in yellow, blue, and green, interspersed with small red and yellow daisies against a white ground. A solid green band encircles the shoulder. The base is stamped in black with the mark ROSEVILLE and the model number 557.
