Spanish–American War Era U.S. 57mm Artillery Round, Winchester Manufacture (INERT). An original U.S. 57mm artillery shell casing and projectile, manufactured by Winchester, dating 5-98 to the Spanish–American War era. The round consists of a brass cartridge case paired with its corresponding projectile, correctly proportioned and representative of late 19th–early 20th century U.S. light artillery ammunition. Winchester-manufactured examples are well regarded for their quality of production and historical association with early American artillery development.
