A vintage Le Creuset oval gratin or shallow casserole dish designed by the industrial designer Raymond Loewy. The piece is constructed from enamelled cast iron finished in the signature Flame orange-to-red ombre colourway with a cream-coloured interior. It features the distinctive Elysees winged T-handles. The unenameled base is embossed with a circular mark containing the words LE CREUSET and MADE IN FRANCE surrounding the number 26. This lot is accompanied by its original cardboard box featuring a mid-century target graphic and a multi-language instructional booklet.
