Globular Vase. A fine porcelain globular vase produced by the Jean Pouyat factory in Limoges, France. The piece features a wide-bodied form with a short, broad neck accented by a molded foliate scroll relief and a slightly flared foot ring. The exterior is artistically hand-painted with large floral blossoms in shades of purple and rose-pink, set against an impressionistic multi-colored pastel ground with delicate green foliage. The upper rim is finished with a hand-applied gold gilt border. The base bears the green stamped factory mark J.P. / L. / FRANCE, used between 1891 and 1932. Approximately 7 inches in height.
