This Japanese Type 97 Sniper Rifle is one of the most sought-after military sniper rifles of World War II and a centerpiece-worthy addition to any advanced military firearms collection. Chambered in 6.5x50mm Japanese and featuring a 31-inch barrel with a shiny bore, this rifle remains in good overall condition and retains one of its most desirable collector features: the original Imperial chrysanthemum still intact on the receiver. Developed from the proven Type 38 platform, the Type 97 was specifically designed for precision shooting and saw extensive service throughout the Pacific Theater. While the serial numbers are not all matching, the presence of the intact chrysanthemum significantly enhances collector appeal.
