Excellent selection of a vintage piece of framed art, perfect for home display. Part of the artist’s “World War I Eagles” series, this print is entitled “Ace McCudden vs. The Green Tailed Albatross”. In the picture, Major James McCudden in his S.E.5a fighter is engaging a German Albatross D.V with a distinctive green tail. This was recreated from McCudden’s own memoirs, “Flying Fury”. The sourced artwork itself was originally published in 1969, unclear the direct age of this piece but it easily appears of an older vintage design.
