1981 U.S. Mint Willa Cather American Arts Commemorative gold medal containing 1/2 troy ounce of gold and presented in the original mint box with accompanying literature. Part of the American Arts Medallion Series issued by the United States Mint from 1980-1984 honoring influential American artists and authors. Features a portrait of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Willa Cather on the obverse with original presentation packaging included. Medal has been tested and verified on a Sigma Metalytics precious metal verifier confirming authentic gold content.
